LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Unsettled weather could drive golfers and spectators indoors over the course of Championship Week. A system of low pressure continues to pinwheel over the region on Wednesday, bringing several chances for showers and a few thunderstorms. This is especially likely in the afternoon and evening as temperatures head into the mid-70s.
Former Cardinals placekicker John Wallace dead at 31
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Former University of Louisville placekicker John Wallace died Wednesday. He was 31. UofL made the announcement, but did not give a cause of death. Wallace, a native of Elizabethtown, played high school football at Central Hardin High School. He was a two-star prospect by Rivals.com and made 11-of-14 field goals as a senior.
PGA Hospitality sets record for sold out venues at Valhalla
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Hundreds of fans are enjoying the PGA Championship with an exclusive experience from the hospitality venues. “We've maxed this place out and set the record for the most hospitality sold for any PGA championship in our 106 years,” said Larry Sinclair, director of hospitality sales. “That’s pretty impressive for Louisville, Kentucky.”
