No injuries in downtown Burlington apartment fire
An apartment fire in downtown Burlington has forced a live music venue within the same building to close. The building on North Winooski Avenue in which Radio Bean is located caught fire shortly before 12:30 Saturday afternoon. The Burlington Fire Department says no one was hurt; the owner of the property is helping tenants find new housing.
Massachusetts man believed to be connected to Burlington shooting incident
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — A Springfield, Massachusetts, man is waiting to be extradited to Vermont for an alleged connection to a 2023 shootout in Burlington. Walter Jones was arrested in Massachusetts back in March on unrelated charges. He is being considered a person of interest in a 2023 gunfire incident on Riverside Avenue, where bullets hit buildings and even a gas line, forcing some neighbors to evacuate.

Driver arrested for DUI after single-vehicle crash in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE — A 20-year-old Charlotte man was arrested on DUI charges following a single-vehicle accident on Greenbush Road on the evening of May 3. Vermont State Troopers from the Williston Barracks were called to the scene around 9:25 p.m. where they found the vehicle operated by Keagan R. Bothwell.
