    2 dead in officer-involved shooting at a Ferguson gas station

    FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOX) -- A dead man laid on West Florissant while another near one of the pumps after an officer involved shooting at the QuikTrip gas station in Ferguson.

    Police say at about 1:36 A.M. Tuesday morning, an officer heard gun shots outside while he was inside the gas station. The Ferguson officer saw one of the men shooting at another man then opened fire.

    "Preliminary investigation has revealed the two adult males arrived at the business in the same vehicle and are believed to be known to one another," said Sergeant Tracy Panus, Public Information Officer with St. Louis County.

    The City of Ferguson police officer, 37 , involved in this incident has 9 years of law enforcement experience. The officer did not suffer any injuries.

    At the request of the Ferguson Police Department, St. Louis County Police Department is leading the investigation. Police are still working out exactly who shot who.
