Plans for a new carwash at the former Hardee's site may be pushed back
JANESVILLE — Indiana-based company Crew Carwash says it will delay plans for a new carwash at the former Hardee’s site along Humes Road. The company says it’s working on projects in other Wisconsin cities first. Crew Carwash project manager Matt Schwartz said the company is now busy opening a new Fitchburg location and finishing construction on another carwash in Eau Claire. Schwartz said Crew Carwash will maintain the former Hardees’ property in a “neat and clean manner.” The group plans to hire a property manager until construction begins. They have also requested — and are in the process of coordinating — a vacant property designation with the city. Crew Carwash plans to build a 5,674-square-foot carwash with four vehicle-queuing lanes and vacuum stations. The developer said they would raze the existing Hardee’s building and replace it with an automated car wash. Plans show the carwash could
