Suspect arrested for deadly Capitola hit-and-run
CAPITOLA, Calif. — A woman was arrested on Friday in connection to thedeadly hit-and-run in Capitola that killed a 70-year-old woman. Debra Towne, 70, was struck and killed while crossing Bay Avenue, near Crossroads Loop, on Saturday, Nov. 17. Police quickly posted a picture of the vehicle and a $20,000 reward was issued for information leading to an arrest.

Arrest made in attempted murder in Watsonville
Watsonville Police officers arrested a man in an attempted murder investigation. MIchelle Pulido, spokeswoman for Watsonville Police, said officers responded Saturday night to a stabbing outside a business on the 1000 block of Main Street, where they found a 32-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to an out-of-county trauma center with life-threatening injuries but is now in stable condition.
