South View, Cape Fear softball take 2nd, 3rd seeds into this week’s conference tournaments

The NCHSAA softball and baseball regular seasons have come to a close, and conference tournaments have arrived.

Lumberton won the United 8 Conference outright and took the No. 1 seed heading into the conference tourney, and Triton won the regular season softball title for the All American Conference and gained the top seed in that tournament.

SOCCER RIVALRY: Cape Fear-Gray’s Creek rivalry spices up girls’ soccer showdown between reigning champs

South View finished second in the U8 after a huge boost in production in its last three outings, while Cape Fear took a slight drop after consecutive losses to South View and Gray's Creek.

Conference tournaments begin on Monday, April 29, with the All American setting it off, and an AAC champion set to be crowed on Thursday, May 2. The U8 will begin its slew of games on Tuesday, April 30, with a champion being named on Friday, May 3.
