About 40 business owners, information technology professionals, educators, and students gathered for Securing the Coast, a one-day cybersecurity seminar held in the new STEM Building at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Harrison County Campus in Gulfport. The event focused on the federal cybersecurity standards facing companies within the Defense Industrial Base, including the small businesses that supply products and services to larger defense contractors.
