A driver allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration more than four times the legal limit when he fled from authorities on Interstate 35 in the Faribault area Friday.

Multiple witnesses reported an erratic southbound driver and law enforcement officers located and attempted to pull over the vehicle on the south end of Faribault, according to a court complaint. The driver allegedly fled, going 50 to 100 mph and swerving before pulling over north of Medford.

Ryan Alexander Feigh, 47, of St. Paul allegedly admitted that the two cups in his vehicle contained tequila and that he was “drunk as fk.”

A preliminary breathalyzer allegedly showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of nearly 0.39 and a later test gave a reading of 0.34.

Feigh was charged Monday in Rice County District Court with felony fleeing police, gross misdemeanor DWI, misdemeanor reckless driving and misdemeanor open bottle in a vehicle.

He was released without having to pay any bail. He has one prior DWI conviction.
