After he helped Falfurrias baseball move on to the regional semifinals, Nathaniel Jaramillo has been voted the Driscoll Children's Hospital Caller-Times High School Athlete of the Week for May 13-18.

Jaramillo had two doubles, two RBIs in a Class 3A regional quarterfinal series against Santa Gertrudisa Academy and threw a complete game three-hit shutout as the Jerseys swept the set.

Jaramillo received 35,157 of the 80,748 votes cast, which was 43.5% of total votes.

Bishop baseball player Jalen Arriaga was second with 28,483 votes.
