Every dog will get its day on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25. The beachside community’s sixth annual Dog Days celebration invites owners to bring their leashed pooches for a walk on the Boardwalk. During Dog Days, all leashed dogs are welcome on the Boardwalk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Salisbury's Bagel Bakery Café hits 30 years, owner thanks his customers
Salisbury, Maryland, staple Bagel Bakery Café is celebrating 30 years in business, and owner Kenny Soni said the success of his business is all thanks to the endless support from the surrounding community. Bagel Bakery Café, which sits inside the Clairmont Shopping Center at 1006 South Salisbury Boulevard, has been under the ownership of Soni and his wife, Amy, for about six years. It first opened in 1996, later transitioning from Chesapeake Bagel Bakery to Bagel Bakery Café. Soni entered the bagel business after the café's previous owner decided to retire, he shared. "This is not about me. This is about the great community that's been supporting this business for a long time," Soni said of the 30th anniversary celebration. Bagel Bakery Café held a special community appreciation event in honor of its 30th anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The event was well-attended. Coming to Bagel Bakery Café has become a ritual of sorts for many families, Soni shared. He sees families enter his café each weekend and dine together over breakfast. "They come in here every Saturday or Sunday morning, get together and exchange stories," he said. "That's been a great blessing for us, a great blessing." LOWER SHORE
