Pittsylvania County crash leaves 43-year-old South Carolina man dead
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE. A 43-year-old man from South Carolina was killed in Tuesday morning’s crash in Pittsylvania County, according to Virginia State Police. We’re told Kendall Wayne Rice, 43, of Greer, South Carolina, was driving south in a 2015 Mini Cooper and ran off the right side of the roadway before overturning several times. Rice was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, according to VSP.

USC Upstate has teamed up with mental health organization Walt’s Waltz as the first university to receive its Stigma-Free Environment designation. Campus leaders celebrated the recognition during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Feb. 17. As part of being a Walt’s Waltz Stigma-Free Environment, “organizations pledge to increase awareness of mental health conditions and promise to work to eliminate stigma and discrimination within their agency and larger community,” according to the website.
