Colby Softball faces Wesleyan University and Trinity College
Last year, the Colby women’s softball team had a historic season, going 24-12 and finishing as the fourth seed in the NESCAC Championship. Heading into the postseason, the Mules started strong, beating Bowdoin 5-4. Unfortunately, their next match was against Tufts, the top seed. The game ended with a 12-4 scoreline, halting the Mule’s advancement to the semi-finals.
Lawrence/Winslow girls lacrosse defeats Hampden/Brewer in overtime
BREWER - It was a thriller at Heddericg Field on Thursday night with Lawrence/Winslow picking up their first win of the year 9-8 over Hampden/Brewer in overtime. Trailing 3-2 after one quarter, Hampden/Brewer charged back with three consecutive goals, one by Bella Saucier and two by Ainsley Goodwin, to take a 5-3 lead to the half.
