The weather outlook for Minneapolis on Sunday indicates sunny conditions with high temperatures nearing a pleasant 72 degrees, but with breezy winds reaching from 5 to 10 mph and increasing to 15 to 20 mph as the morning progresses. Gusts could hit as high as 30 mph.

Local smoke shops prepare for $15 cigarettes
With less than a month until the city requires cigarette packs to be sold at a $15 minimum, many local tobacco shops are already seeing the price hike take effect. The Minneapolis City Council unanimously passed the cigarette price ordinance on April 25 which will take effect July 8. According to MPR, this is likely the highest price in the country.

MINNEAPOLIS — Our dry, comfortable stretch continues Sunday, with more sunshine and pleasant temps in the 70s in the Twin Cities. Monday will be a bit warmer with temperatures in the upper 70s, but not as breezy as Sunday. The sunshine will also stick around.Our next chance for rain comes with a weak front passing on Tuesday. Nothing severe is expected with that system. Most of the rain is expected in the morning hours, with a possibility of redevelopment in the evening. Far northern Minnesota could get up to a half-inch of rain, with a few tenths of an inch for the metro area. Temperatures will warm back into the mid-80s by midweek and the humidity will return. There's another rain chance for Thursday with a better chance for rain for the weekend.
