Louisiana football vs South Alabama | Live score from Week 10, plus score prediction
After an idle week that followed a loss, Louisiana football is more than eager to get back on the field in Week 10. The Ragin’ Cajuns (5-3, 2-2 SBC) suffered another heartbreaking Sun Belt Conference loss this time at the hands of rivals Southern Mississippi. Fifth-year head coach Michael Desormeaux is hoping the 35-31 loss will be a wake-up call for his squad as they strive to bounce back against South Alabama this week. Dreams of competing for an SBC Championship may have vanished, but there’s still something at stake for the Cajuns. A win this week over the Jaguars could make them bowl eligible for the ninth straight year in a row. It could also revitalize the squad ahead of the final home stretch of the 2026 season. To do so, the Cajuns will look to be the more dominating team in the trenches, looking to establish the run and take the first punch. A key part of that plan will be dual-threat quarterback Lunch Winfield, who is currently leading UL’s rushing attack. The Jaguars (4-4, 2-2) will also be looking to dictate the game on the ground with running backs Keenan Phillips and PJ Martin leading the charge.
