Former Kentucky federal corrections supervisor sentenced to 5-1/2 years for leading cover-ups of inmate assaults. Cause of fatal fire unknown, no foul play suspected. Kevin X. Pearce, a former Bureau of Prisons supervisor, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison followed by one year of supervised release. Pearce was convicted after a six-day trial for leading two cover-ups of assaults on inmates held at U.S. Penitentiary Big Sandy in Debord. His co-defendants, former corrections officers Samuel Patrick and Clinton Pauley, had previously pleaded guilty to deprivation of rights under color of law.

Mrs. Dunn was born on November 22nd, 1941 on the Ivy Point Farm in Salyersville Ky, the fifth and final child of the late Julia May Gardner and Byron Richards Gardner. She attended Salyersville High School and Eastern Kentucky University. On October 19th, 1960 she married Luther Dean Dunn, with whom she had three daughters, Bridget Adams, Susan Begley, and Lisa Graham.
