HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Three people are behind bars and facing meth dealing charges following a traffic stop.

Evansville Police state an officer pulled a vehicle over at Weinbach Avenue and Riverside Drive for crossing the center line and the fog line. The passengers were identified as Zackery Moody, Candance Carnahan and Tyleaha Carnahan.

Moody said he was trying to look up directions. He also claimed he was not able to provide proof of insurance due to selling his phone that had the information on it.

After all three were asked to step out, Moody allegedly gave consent to search. During the search, officers allegedly located a red straw with a white powder residue in the middle console.

Police say Moody told them it was probably cocaine as he did with a friend about four days ago.

EPD says a Ziploc bag containing three corner bags was found that had a crystal-like substance. It reportedly tested positive for methamphetamine and had a field weight of 21 grams. A backpack was also found in the rear seat that EPD says had a small pouch with the name Candy on it. Candance claimed the bag was hers.

Officers reportedly found a metal smoking pipe with burnt residue. An officer also reportedly found a backpack that had a small pouch. An affidavit says the pouch contained seven syringes and a metal spoon.

Police also reportedly found another bag of meth in the middle console. The affidavit says, “Due to no clear owner (of the meth) and the narcotics being in the wingspan of each individual in the car, they were all charged with dealing.”

All three were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.
