JARREAU - A truck was destroyed Sunday after it caught fire in Jarreau. The Pointe Coupee Fire District 3 shared photos of the truck on fire and after it was put out. The vehicle was in the parking lot of Island Landing Bar and Grill, but it does not appear that the building was impacted.

St. Francisville Tractor Supply to host a farmers market May 18
On May 18, the St. Francisville Tractor Supply store, at 7327 U.S. 61, will host a farmers market featuring locally grown, fresh produce, as well as other seasonal products. Among the local vendors will be Ritchie Farms. Shoppers can stop in for arts and crafts, baked goods and homemade crafts, produced by neighbors in the St. Francisville area.
