NEW HAVEN — A person was shot on Richmond Avenue in New Haven on May 19, prompting a significant police response, authorities said. The New Haven Police Department reported that officers arrived on the scene in the 20 block of Richmond Ave at approximately 4:15 p.m. to find a gunshot wound (GSW) victim.

Bristol crash leads to arrest of fugitive: police
A crash of a pickup truck into a riding lawnmower in Bristol has led to the arrest of a fugitive from that town, according to Vermont State Police. The crash took place on Monkton Road shortly before 12:30 Friday afternoon. Hunter Poquette, 22, is accused of leaving the roadway, driving onto the front lawn of a home and striking a riding mower. Bruce Duncan, 67, of Bristol was aboard the mower as he was using it on his own lawn. Duncan was taken to UVM Medical Center in Burlington with what were believed to be serious injuries; there was no indication on Saturday of his condition.
