Kankakee County High School Briefly Threatened by Allegedly Armed Juvenile Thursday
Herscher, IL – A unidentified male juvenile allegedly threatened to bring a weapon to Herscher High School on Thursday evening. The Herscher Police Department received a call around 6:30 p.m., alerting them to the potential threat. According to the Herscher Police Department, the individual allegedly stated intentions to go to the school with a weapon, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.
Meth Dealer Sentenced in Grundy Co.
A 46-year-old Morris man was sentenced in a Grundy County meth dealing case on Wednesday. Edward Orlich pled guilty to the unlawful delivery of less than five grams of meth, a class two felony and was sentenced to four years of probation. As part of the plea agreement, the charge of possession of less than five grams of meth, a class three felony was dropped.
