POUGHKEEPSIE – A body recovered from the Hudson River near Waryas Park on Saturday is said to be that of National Guard Sergeant Nicolas Faust, 43, who went missing after leaving a social gathering in Poughkeepsie on March 24, 2024. City of Poughkeepsie police and fire departments were dispatched to the park on Saturday, May 4, 2024, just after 5:00 pm for the report of a body in the water.

POUGHKEEPSIE – Two City of Poughkeepsie police officers were shaken up after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon. The officers in a patrol vehicle were involved in a crash with another motorist near the intersection of Mansion and Conklin Streets shortly after 5 p.m. on May 2.
Rolison responds to shooting of teens
POUGHKEEPSIE – State Senator Rob Rolison, a former Poughkeepsie mayor, reiterated that “public safety is the top priority,” in response to the April 30 shooting of two teenage males near Poughkeepsie High School. The shooting was described as an “ambush-style shooting” by City of Poughkeepsie Police Chief Tom Pape.
