Boulder Town Council to Discuss Fire Protection and Conduct Digital Training on February 27
The Boulder Town Council will hold a work meeting on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 4:00 pm. The location is the Boulder Community Center Meeting Room, and a Zoom link will be available for remote attendees. The meeting is open to the public, but the council and staff will be the main participants.
Basketball Game Preview: Escalante Moquis vs. Panguitch Bobcats
Escalante is 0-10 against Panguitch since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Escalante Moquis' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Panguitch Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on February 28th. Escalante will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Panguitch is ranked 29th).

Two climbers hoisted out of Sandthrax Canyon after fall

Southern Utah Under Winter Weather Advisory
(Cedar City, UT) — Portions of southern Utah will be under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning today. The alert goes into effect at noon for Washington, Iron, Beaver, Garfield and Kane Counties, as well as the Southern Mountains. The National Weather Service also mentioned the towns of Brian Head and Alton in the advisory. Forecasters say five to ten inches of snow could fall by tomorrow night, when the alert is scheduled to end. Officials say to take extra caution if you have to travel in the winter weather.
