Following a several-decade hiatus, Serafini’s recipes find their way back to Erie

The Erie community can now enjoy the original family recipe of Serafini’s once again.

Amanda Serafini is on a mission to bring the taste of her grandmother’s Italian recipes back to life

The Serafini Family brings back the original taste of Serafini to Erie

The original restaurant opened in the late 1930s but was sold to another local family in the 1990s.

Amanda is currently making their famous sauce and meatballs for pre-sale at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church during the weekends.

New restaurant encourages visitors to ‘Thai’ their delicious food

“Over the past year, I’ve been perfecting it with my uncle and my dad and my brother, who is a professional chef out of state. So I’ve had a lot of hands-on experience with family members getting it to where it should be,” said Amanda.
