Former Ohio Democratic candidate for governor has a prominent new job
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nan Whaley, the Democrat who unsuccessfully challenged Republican Gov. Mike DeWine in 2022, has a prominent new job. Whaley will be the next CEO of Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region starting on July 1, according to a Thursday news release. She previously was the mayor of Dayton from 2014 until 2022, and served on the Dayton City Commission before that. Most recently, Whaley was director of membership for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
