Binghamton Softball Finishes Third In America East Tournament
After taking their first regular season championship since 2017, the Bearcats softball team would finish third in the America East tournament this past week in Maine. Binghamton would take down Maine in their first matchup before falling to UAlbany and UMass Lowell to bring their historic season to a close.
Maine-Endwell thrower voted Athlete of the Week; submit your vote for this week's winner
Panayiota Anastos of the Maine-Endwell girls track & field team has been voted Athlete of the Week for competition of April 28 to May 4. Anastos won the shot put (38 feet, 4.25 inches) and discus (108-7) at Vestal's Golden Bear Mixed Relays on May 3. She came back the next day and took both events at the Horseheads Blue Shoes Invitational, with efforts of 34 feet, 11.5 inches in the shot put and 110 feet, 5 inches in the discus.
