Florida man could get life in prison for federal gun crimes in North Iowa
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – A Florida man has pleaded guilty to federal gun crimes in North Iowa. Brian Lee Byers, 39 from Christmas, FL, has now been convicted of four counts of possession of a firearm by an unlawful drug user and four counts of making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm.

Freeborn County collision injured three people Friday
BANCROFT TOWNSHIP, Minn. - A two-vehicle collision Friday sent three people to the hospital in Freeborn County. The Minnesota State Patrol says Christine Elizabeth Flores, 44 of Saginaw, Texas, was driving a 2024 Toyota Corolla west on Interstate 90 when she crashed with the westbound 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Breanna Kari Troe, 27 of Rochester. The collision happened around 6 pm near mile marker 161.
