Northern Kentucky's new 4th of July celebration
NEWPORT, Ky. — An all-new Fourth of July celebration is coming to northern Kentucky. The Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau, Newport on the Levee and BB Riverboats are partnering with the City of Newport to host "Newport Blast" July 3 at The Levee. Organizers said guests can enjoy the "spirit of Americana" with music, carnival activities and food before fireworks and a drone display.

Florence Community Photo Contest begins next week
Florence’s community photo contest will take place next week from June 3 to June 10. First, second and third-place winners will be selected in the following three categories: people, landscapes and landmarks. The contest is open to all ages and skill levels. Competitors do not need to live in the city of Florence; the photos submitted simply need to be of subjects within the city’s bounds. Photos become property of the city upon submission, and entrants must agree to allow the city to use them for promotional and marketing materials in the future.
