Man Arrested for DWI Nearly Twice the Legal Limit
(WNY News Now) – On November 23, 2023, State Police Machias Troopers arrested a 23-year-old Tonawanda, NY man for Driving While Intoxicated. Machias – During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Machias, Troopers observed Donaldson exhibiting alleged signs of intoxication and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. Donaldson allegedly failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was then arrested and transported to State Police Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.14% BAC.

OLEAN, NY — Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the driver of a white GMC pickup truck who struck and knocked over a light post in the median of North Union Street near the Main Street roundabout at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. "The driver did not report the accident and left the scene after doing significant damage," the Olean Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. "Looking at debris left behind from this truck it appears the lower part of the front bumper would be damaged and missing small parts due to this accident."
