(WNY News Now) – On November 23, 2023, State Police Machias Troopers arrested a 23-year-old Tonawanda, NY man for Driving While Intoxicated. Machias – During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Machias, Troopers observed Donaldson exhibiting alleged signs of intoxication and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. Donaldson allegedly failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was then arrested and transported to State Police Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.14% BAC.

An Olean woman was charged with a felony after an alleged fight on Wednesday. The Olean Police charged 33-year-old Sharlene A. Downey with felony assault, acting in a manner to injure a child, and harassment. Downey was released with an appearance ticket.

Ogilvie, 40, residing at 7907 Spring St., East Otto, NY, was taken into custody on charges of Criminal Contempt during an incident responded to by deputies. The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance in progress, prompting law enforcement intervention. Following the arrest, Ogilvie was promptly arraigned and subsequently released.

LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — A 16-year-old teenager is facing multiple charges for burglaries in Cattaraugus County. The teen, who is not being named due to their age, is charged with three counts of Burglary in the 3rd degree, one count of Grand Larceny in the second degree, one count of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, three counts of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree, two counts of Criminal Trespass and one count of Reckless Endangerment.

(WNY News Now) – On November 17, 2023, a 75-year-old Lockport, NY man was apprehended by State Police Machias Troopers on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Machias – SP Machias Troopers responded to a one-vehicle accident on State Route 16 in Machias on November 17, 2023, leading to the arrest of 75-year-old Stephen P. Crawford. Troopers, while investigating the incident, allegedly noted conspicuous signs of intoxication in Crawford. Following standardized field sobriety tests, it was confirmed that Crawford had been operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

OLEAN, NY — Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the driver of a white GMC pickup truck who struck and knocked over a light post in the median of North Union Street near the Main Street roundabout at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. "The driver did not report the accident and left the scene after doing significant damage," the Olean Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. "Looking at debris left behind from this truck it appears the lower part of the front bumper would be damaged and missing small parts due to this accident." The Facebook post includes a photo of the truck that struck the median. Anyone with information about the incident should contact Olean Police Department at 716-376-5677.

A Homeless man was charged after allegedly starting a fire behind an Olean business Friday night. At 10:25, the Olean Police charged 38-year-old Chadwick C. Cummings with resisting arrest, menacing, and disorderly conduct. Police allege Cummings started a fire behind Five Star Bank. He was released with an appearance ticket.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office has reported the arrest of Nicole L. Quinn, a 37-year-old woman from West Valley, NY, for allegedly making a terroristic threat. On November 14, 2023, Quinn was taken into custody after the Criminal Investigation Bureau executed an arrest warrant at her residence. The warrant was related to a disturbing call made on October 6, where she reportedly threatened to bomb the county's Department of Social Services in Olean.

The plane landed just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.
