“Bite the bait,” Savannah River Spring Classic bass fishing tournament reels in community to Port Wentworth for Stand Up For America Day Festivities
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - For the next several months we are celebrating the communities and events in our area for our hometown tour. This weekend we are highlighting Port Wentworth and all the activities part of the Stand Up For America Day Festival. Our Michaela Romero was where all the action will kick off bright and early at the Houlihan Boat Landing for the annual Savannah River Spring Classic Fishing Tournament. She went on a ride with one fisherman who will be partaking in all of the action.
Swimming, kayaking among new activities at Sterling Creek Park in Richmond Hill
The City of Richmond Hill is taking steps to ensure residents have more amenities to support their quality of life and outdoor recreation is taking center stage. The lake at Sterling Creek Park will be available to the public through a variety of activities to include swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. According to Mayor Russ Carpenter, the only recreational activity that was available to the public was fishing.
