Coeburn man admits to shooting man during argument over money, authorities say
WISE COUNTY, Va. (WCYB) — A Coeburn man admitted to shooting another man during an argument regarding money, according to the Wise County Sheriff's Office. Randall Richard Potter, 63, called 911 on Friday morning and said he had shot someone during an argument over money, the sheriff's office stated. The incident occurred on Dan Hall Road.

A Letcher County man has been arrested on felony charges after, Kentucky State Police said, he burglarized a Perry County business and stole an ATM. According to an arrest citation written by KSP Trooper Nathan Roark, in the early morning hours of May 7, Ramey's Quick Stop at Vicco was burglarized.
Couple charged with child neglect
A North Matewan couple were arrested earlier this week on child neglect charges. According to Mingo Magistrate Court documents, on May 13, officers went to the residence of Curtis Andrew Meade, 24, and Katie Jo Meade, 23, after receiving a mandated call from a STAT EMS worker, who court documents said had been dispatched to the residence, reporting on the living conditions inside the home.
