Meth possession charge follows arrest on parole warrant
ELKHART — An Elkhart man was arrested for drug possession following a foot chase with police. Aaron Bradley Jr., 34, is charged with possession of 28 or more grams of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony, following his arrest last week. He also faces counts of resisting law enforcement and possession of paraphernalia as misdemeanors.
Smoke shop robbery suspect appears in court
GOSHEN — An Elkhart woman has been arrested on a warrant charging her with robbing a tobacco shop and leaving a clerk with a bloody nose last year. Lorain Childs, 29, was recently arrested on a warrant issued in September charging her with robbery resulting in injury as a Level 3 felony. Her charges also include battery as a Level 6 felony.

One person injured in crash in Porter Township
CASS COUNTY, Mich. --Cass County Police responded to a call, after 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for a crash in Porter Township, where one person was injured. This crash happened near the intersection of Robbins Lake Road and US-12, where investigation shows a 36-year-old Three Rivers male resident was negotiating a curve, when he crossed the center line of the roadway.
Former teacher held on child seduction charge
GOSHEN — The former assistant theater director for Bethany Christian Schools is accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage student. Kyle Snyder, 26, is charged with five counts of child seduction as a Level 5 felony after his arrest Tuesday. Police say he had an inappropriate relationship with a student for about a year, until her parents reported him in late April.

Paving worker's death draws $7K fine
INDIANAPOLIS — A paving company has been cited by the Indiana Department of Labor after a road worker was killed by a machine west of Middlebury. Milestone Contractors, a construction company headquartered in Indianapolis with offices around the state, faces proposed penalties of $7,000 following an inspection by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The company was cited for a serious violation involving workplace hazards which resulted in the death of an employee.
Suspect in drug dealing complaint arrested after attempting to flee
