Meet Lincoln Savings Bank’s new CEO Sean Willett
Sean Willett took over the helm of Waterloo-based Lincoln Savings Bank just before the start of the year. Before he joined Lincoln Savings Bank, he was the chief administrative officer for a community bank in western and central New York. Prior to that, Willett was in investment banking at firms such as Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan. While Willett doesn’t have a traditional community banking background, he says his experience prepared him well for his new role and allows him to bring a fresh perspective to Lincoln Savings Bank.

Waterloo man found guilty of involuntary manslaughter
WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) - A man who was previously found guilty of arson is now also guilty of involuntary manslaughter relating to that same case.. John Spooner was initially charged with first-degree murder after he was found in the area of a house fire that resulted in the death of a man. The fire happened on August 19, 2022, in the 300 block of E. 2nd Street.
Iowa man charged in Waterloo shooting
WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG) - Officials have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection to a shooting that took place last Saturday. On May 4th, at approximately 5:04 pm, officers responded to the 2600 block of Texas Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, responders found a victim who had been shot in the abdominal area. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of of injury.
