Kean University Offers Free Summer Program For 9th and 10th Graders

UNION, NJ - Kean University, in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Community-Based Organizations in Elizabeth, Jersey City, and Newark are going “Full STEaM Ahead” this summer.

The University is offering 9th and 10th-grade students of Union County a free opportunity to gain a real college campus experience with a heavy focus on classroom learning and field trips to the Liberty Science Center, and Kean Skylands.

Kean University’s “Full STEaM Ahead” program is running from July 8 to August 2. The event will be five days per week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program provides interested students with introductory classes centered on science, technology, engineering, and math. Students will also be able to explore career opportunities with Port Authority’s aviation and STEM industries.

Free transportation will be provided to and from Kean University and field trips. Free breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
