Schuster Theatre announces closure of Scottino Hall following 2026-27 academic year
Erie, Pa.—Schuster Theatre, originally built in the 1920s as a church, has announced plans to close Scottino Hall. Having served as the hub for Gannon’s live theatre performances for over 30 years, Schuster has become a beloved staple of the Erie community, putting on an average of five shows each school year, including a summer show. The building hosts theatrical productions and is where many students take acting and theatre classes. Scottino Hall has become a second home for many students and faculty, so it came as a surprise when Gannon University announced it would be closing down Scottino Hall following the 2026-27 academic year.
