Town of Eleanor announces election results

ELEANOR, WV (WOWK) — The Town of Eleanor released the results of its recent election Tuesday.

The town announced on its Facebook page the following results:

Mayor: Cam Clendenin – 31 votes
Recorder: Lynda Casto – 29 votes
Council: Tom Sheridan – 28 votes
Council: Kevin Childers – 25 votes
Council: Adam Childers – 25 votes
Council: Jack McLane – 22 votes
Council: Teresa Harmon – 21 votes

An amendment to change the town elections to align with the county general elections passed with 35 votes for and 8 votes against.

According to the post, the next town election will be held in November 2026. As such, the upcoming terms of office will run from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.
