ELBA, Ala. ( WDHN ) — An investigation is underway after the home of the Elba School Board President, Johnny Senn, was shot several times.

Authorities said the shooting came not long after the school board voted not to renew the contract of the Elba Superintendent Thursday evening during a special meeting.

According to authorities, when Senn, a retired agent with the State Bureau of Investigation, came home from the meeting, he found multiple bullets had hit his home.

No one was injured, and authorities said that while no suspect has been identified, they believe the shooting was motivated by the recent firing of the superintendent.

Police patrols have increased in Elba at this time.

The State Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case and is expected to release information soon.
