    ‘Rise & Ride’ takes place Friday in Downtown El Paso

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The El Paso Community Foundation is inviting the community to “Rise and Ride” for “Bike to Work Day” on Friday, May 17, according to a press release from the Foundation.

    The Foundation says its celebrating health, wellness, and the eco-friendly mode of transportation for National Bike Month.

    The Foundation says the event will start at 7:30 a.m. on Friday and the starting point will be at the SunCycle Mundy Park Station located at 501 Lawton Dr.

    The Foundation says cyclists will begin the ride at 8 a.m. and ride for approximately 1.09 miles to San Jacinto Plaza in Downtown El Paso.

    Coffee and snacks will be provided to those who attend, according to the Foundation.

    Later in the day, the Foundation will feature a free screening at 5:30 p.m. of the movie Breaking Away (1979) at the El Paso Community Foundation Room located at 333 N Oregon St., ground floor.
