Cedar County man dies after crash involving a truck and a gator
CEDAR COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - A man from Stockton has died after a crash involving a pickup truck and a UTV Saturday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, around 5:40 p.m., a GMC Sierra and a John Deere Gator were driving in opposite directions on County Road 1801, which is a narrow gravel road, around Stockton Lake.
Tornado: Rich Hill Fire, “We got lucky today”
BATES COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for an area south of Rich Hill, Mo. Friday at 6:13 p.m. Damage was reported to trees south of town along State Hwy TT. Additionally a barn was destroyed. The area affected was outside city limits.

Nursing shortage is major roadblock for new federal nursing home staff requirements
LOWRY CITY, Mo. (KY3) - The Biden Administration has finalized the first-ever minimum staffing rules at nursing homes. But its mandate may be hard to fulfill. The new rules apply to about 15,000 nursing homes around the country that receive federal funding. They require that a registered nurse be onsite at all times. Residents are also mandated to receive a minimum of 3.48 hours of nursing care per day, including a half-hour of care from a registered nurse per resident day and at least 2.45 hours of care from a nurse aide per resident day.
