Kansas Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Truck Driver and Local Contributor
Sheridan County, Kansas, was the site of a tragic accident that claimed the life of 30-year-old semi-truck driver Tyler Warren Winn from Salina. The incident unfolded as Winn, behind the wheel of a 2015 Freightliner M2, lost control and overcorrected after veering onto the east shoulder of K-23. His vehicle rolled across the roadway and came to a halt facing east in a ditch on the west shoulder. Despite immediate medical attention and the fact that Winn was wearing his seatbelt, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In 2020, the Cards took a 12-0 record into the state championship game where they fell 27-20 to Rossville. Hoisington fans are hoping the third time is a charm. With a 30-21 win at Norton Friday night, the Cardinals will take a 12-0 record into next Saturday's Class 2A State Championship game against reigning champion and unbeaten Nemaha Central.
