Walton-Verona schools honors retiring teachers: ‘It is hard to leave’
Two retiring teachers were honored at Thursday night’s Walton-Verona Independent School Board of Education meeting. Jackee Floyd and Eric Morwessel received trophies at the meeting. Covington Schools adopts tentative budget
The Covington Independent Schools Board of Education adopted a tentative budget for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1, at their meeting Thursday night. Although an official measure from the board, the tentative budget is designed to be easily amended down the line as the district considers additional ways to cut costs. A revised working budget will come before the board in September.
