Warmer conditions on Friday...even warmer on Saturday

WHAT WE ARE TRACKING: Warm and mainly dry conditions are expected on Friday and Saturday before wet weather returns Sunday night.

NEXT 24 HRS: Skies become mostly clear overnight, with temperatures falling into the upper 40s to middle 50s. Some passing clouds are likely tomorrow, especially northeast of Eau Claire, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s to lower 80s under southerly winds. Mostly clear skies are expected Friday night, with temperatures falling only into the upper 50s to lower 60s.

LOOKING AHEAD: Even warmer conditions (middle 80s) are expected Saturday, with a few showers or thunderstorms late Saturday as a cold front moves through the region. Wet weather is anticipated for the start of the new workweek, with potential significant rainfall. After a brief dry spell during the middle of the week, rain chances return for Friday and the following weekend. Although high temperatures start the work week off above average (middle to upper 70s), they'll end up near average by the end and the following weekend (upper 60s to low 70s).
