EAST TROY — Tyler Fredrick pitched a complete game for Jefferson’s baseball team, which completed a sweep of East Troy by winning 7-1 on the road Thursday.

Drew Peterson lined a double to center to open the Jefferson second inning. He took third on a wild pitch and scored on a ground out by Sam Steies.

Andrew Altermatt opened the third by drawing a walk, taking second when Bentley Wagner bunted for a hit. The pair then swiped second and third bases, respectively, before Fredrick helped his own cause with a run-scoring single to make it 2-0.

The Eagles (8-1, 5-0 in conference), who got a run in the fifth when Tyler Steinke scored on a wild pitch, scored four times on just one hit in the seventh to lead 7-1. Aidan Kammer and Steinke scored on an error at shortstop, Caysen Miller, who was 2-for-4, singled home a run and then Steies crossed home on Brady Vogel’s ground out.

Fredrick punched out seven and walked only two, allowing a run on four hits. He threw 90 pitches, 62 for strikes.

The Eagles host Lake Mills today at 4:45 p.m.
