Vermont man arrested after standoff with police in Hartford
HARTFORD, Vt. (WCAX) - Police who responded to a domestic violence call in Hartford on Friday say the suspect threatened them with a gun. Hartford officers were called to Bugbee Street where they interviewed two female victims with visible injuries. One was 91, the other was 72. Both women were sent to Dartmouth Health for treatment.
Woodstock man hurt in December shooting arrested for attempted burglary
A man who was severely hurt in a shooting in Tunbridge last December has now been arrested. Hugh Shackleton, 33, of Woodstock is charged with attempted burglary. He’s due in court in Chelsea on June 19. A Tunbridge man shot him more than once with a rifle at a home on Button Hill Road a few days before last Christmas.
Memorial Day motorcycle tribute rolls on
MILTON, Vt. (WCAX) - This Memorial Day weekend, people in Milton and across the state came out to watch Vermont Thunder, the annual motorcycle parade honoring veterans. The group, which rides from Sharon to Enosburgh each year, started in 1992 and organizers say it has become the biggest motorcycle ride in New England.
