PD: Two women wanted for retail theft at Walmart

EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say two women are wanted after a retail theft occurred at Walmart in Monroe County.

On February 7 the Stroud Area Regional Polic Department was called to Walmart in East Stroudsburg for a report of retail theft.

Through further investigation, officers said two women were reported to have worked together to hide $157.67 in merchandise and leave the store when Walmart loss prevention officers tried to stop them.

The women identified themselves as Jessica Rudd and “Chasity Rudd” from South Carolina. Both were arrested and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility. Police say the fingerprints revealed “Chasity Rudd” was Tiffany Scott.

Criminal charges were filed for retail theft against both suspects while the charge of false ID to law enforcement was given to Scott.

On February 12 a warrant was Scott’s arrest was issued and on March 26 Jessica Rudd failed to appear for her summons and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rudd or Scott is asked to contact the Stroud Area Regional Police Department.
