Kingsport Police ask public to be aware of emergency lights
KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Officials with the Kingsport Police Department are asking members of the public to be aware of emergency lights when driving. Authorities say response times have been made longer by 45 seconds the past decade, because people are not getting over when they see emergency lights flashing. They add when lights and sirens are on, it's not a routine call, and they are working to get to the scene quickly.

Kingsport Police warning residents about scammers
KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Police in Kingsport are wanting residents to be aware of scammers, after nearly $100,000 was recently stolen. Police say since May 31, 2024, that $71,000 has been stolen by scammers from Kingsport residents. Authorities say the scams are different in nature, but tend to attack the elderly population.
