EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – East Palestine High School students got the chance to cook with the First Lady of Ohio Wednesday.

About two dozen students from the culinary class got the chance to make homemade noodles and rolls with Fran DeWine and got a tour of the governor’s residence and heritage garden.

Fran says she got to bake with the kids when she was in East Palestine during the train derailment and extended the offer to come to her home.

“So I taught the kids how to make homemade noodles and how to make homemade rolls and then they learned from our chef,” said DeWine.

Of course, they all ate together before they left. The First Lady said she loved teaching the kids.
