Second company claims it hasn't been paid for Hall of Fame Village water park work
CANTON − The Helm Group, an Illinois-based contractor, has filed a mechanics lien on the Hall of Fame Village water park property. The company claims it is owed about $657,876 for "various materials and services" provided between July 10, 2023, to March 1 per a contract with the Wisconsin-based Neuman Pools Inc. The lien, placed on the property at 2301 George Halas Drive NW, was filed Tuesday with the Stark County Recorder's Office.

ACTION: Hired a new athletic director. DISCUSSION: The board approved hiring Larry Kinnard as the athletic director. The board also accepted Kinnard’s resignation as assistant athletic director at the high school. Kinnard’s resignation is effective July 31. He takes on his new role as athletic director at Hoover High School on Aug. 1.
