Suspect who opened fire near Easton’s holiday skating rink arrested, cops say
A suspect accused of opening fire in December 2023 at Easton’s Winter Village skating rink has been found and arrested, city police said. Tamir Freeman, 23, of the 200 block of Northampton Street in the city, is facing felony attempted criminal homicide; two counts felony aggravated assault; misdemeanor reckless endangerment; and three counts misdemeanor criminal mischief. Court records do not indicate Freeman has an attorney yet in the case.
Animal Cruelty Investigation Launched In Northampton County
Officers were called to Frutchey Hill Road and Richmond Road Saturday morning, April 20 for an "animal complaint," Township police said in a release. A small, brown Yorkie with a green colored bandana was found dead in a cage under a white bedsheet, authorities said. The dog "appeared to have been deceased for an extended period of time," they noted.

A 24-hour Wawa convenience store plans to officially open Thursday on the site that formerly housed Leiser’s Rentals and Sales in Bethlehem Township. The 6,300-square-foot store sits at 3608 Nazareth Pike (Route 191), just north of the Oakland Road intersection.
