'I just want my friends and family to be safe': Indecent exposure concerns on Buffalo's West Side
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Some neighbors in Buffalo say they feel violated following an indecent exposure incident involving one man. Mariah, who lives on Buffalo's West Side, said she was walking down Rhode Island Street when a man began to follow her and her dog. She said he started moving closer to her.
Kaleida starts building new multi-specialty practice site in the Northtowns
LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Kaleida Health has begun construction on its new Lockport multi-specialty practice site, with plans for an opening in early 2025. The project at 6009 Transit Road will create a new Northtowns service hub to serve patients from Eastern Niagara County and Northern Erie County communities including East Amherst and Clarence.

Buffalo Public Schools Board of Education approves charter renewals for two schools
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Board of Education granted Enterprise Charter a 3-year charter renewal and Westminster Community a 4-year charter renewal on Wednesday. The two schools are now on a deadline to reach academic goals or possibly face closure. They were the focus of Wednesday afternoon's Board of Education meeting.
No quick fix in sight for 114-year-old bridge in South Buffalo
Every other month for the past 10 years or so, Phillip Tompkins has complained to the South Buffalo supervisors about what he says is a rickety bridge on Clinton Road. He worries that emergency vehicles could miss the posted 10-ton weight limit and cause the span to buckle, or that a school bus might hit a patch of ice and crash through the bridge’s wooden railing.
