Huskers softball adds Arizona transfer
The Nebraska softball team made an addition via the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon. Olivia DiNardo is transferring to Nebraska after spending the last two seasons at Arizona. DiNardo was a decorated player during her time with the Wildcats. The catcher/utility player appeared in 106 games and started in 102 during her Arizona career. As a freshman, she was named second-team All-Pac 12 and was third-team all-region as a sophomore. The California native hit .340 with 15 doubles, 20 home runs and 74 RBIs. “Olivia DiNardo is an exceptional softball talent, and we are so excited that she is joining the Red Team,” Head Coach Rhonda Revelle said. “She is a fierce competitor who loves to compete and win. Inmate Serving Life-Sentence for Murder Died Over the Weekend
LINCOLN–(KFOR June 10)–An inmate serving a life-sentence for a 1977 murder out of Douglas County died at a Lincoln hospital on Saturday. The Nebraska Department of Corrections said in a release to KFOR News that 71-year-old Michael Prim was in jail at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln and had been treated for a medical condition.

South Dakota tight end receives offer from Nebraska
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered a South Dakota tight end a scholarship. Cooper Terwilliger is a class of 2027 prospect from T.F. Riggs High School out of Pierre, South Dakota. The tight end earned the scholarship after his performance at Nebraska’s football camp last weekend. Offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Marcus Satterfield extended the offer to him. The Cornhuskers are the third school to make an offer to the 6-5 210-pound Terwilliger. He also holds offers from Iowa State and Kansas State. Satterfield will also take over as the Nebraska tight end’s coach this season after spending last season as the quarterback coach. New assistant coach Glenn Thomas now fills that role.
