(WJHL) – Hundreds of nominations were submitted and four finalists have been chosen by the region to compete for the title of Tri-Cities Best Antique Store. The four stores that will compete for the title are River Mountain Antiques, The Eagle Center, Village Antiques and Home Decor, and Willow Creek Antiques & Collectibles.

Rod Mullins covers NASCAR for AFP, and co-hosts the mid-week “Street Knowledge” focusing on NASCAR with AFP editor Chris Graham. A graduate of UVA-Wise, Rod began his career in journalism as a reporter for The Cumberland Times, later became the program director/news director/on-air morning show host for WNVA in Norton, Va., and in the early 1990s served as the sports information director at UVA-Wise and was the radio “Voice of the Highland Cavaliers” for football and basketball for seven seasons. In 1995, Rod transitioned to public education, where he has worked as a high school English, literature, and creative writing teacher and now serves as a school program coordinator in addition to serving as a mentor for the robotics team.

ROGERSVILLE — Organizers announced this week that the former "Ride Like Hale" bicycle will return under a new name on Aug. 10 with 21-mile, 36-mile and 62-mile rides. The rides, sponsored by Just Ride Bikes & Fitness, will leave Hawkins Elementary School in Rogersville starting at 8 a.m. With the closing of the Chip Hale Center, the new beneficiary of the ride will be Camp Hope of East Tennessee. Softball Game Recap: Castlewood Takes a Loss
Castlewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to the Eastside Spartans.
